Why We Exist —
and Why It Matters
Perspective Publications was born from a simple but powerful belief: every person’s story has the power to heal someone else. We exist to make sure those stories get told — affordably, authentically, and with the dignity they deserve.
It Started With a Feeling
Our founder, Timothy Casul, grew up feeling perpetually out of focus — unable to retain information about music, movies, or the small talk that connected everyone else. He called it “mental constipation” — the frustration of being blocked from fully participating in life.
That disconnection left him searching for identity in all the wrong places. The streets. The fast life. Any place that might offer belonging.
Loss That Changed Everything
The tragic loss of his brother Raymond — combined with years of hardship and incarceration — forced Timothy to confront the life he was living. Sitting in a cell in North Carolina, he could no longer blame the world. He had to look in the mirror.
It was in that silence he found the one thing he’d always been searching for: his own story. And the courage to tell it.
The Power of Storytelling
Writing Between Two Worlds: The Shadow Years taught Timothy that vulnerability is not weakness — it is connection. When he finally put his experiences on the page, raw and unfiltered, he realized how many people had been waiting to read exactly that story.
That realization became the foundation of Perspective Publications. If his story could reach someone, so could yours.
