Through My Mother's Eyes
Through My Mother's Eyes
A Poetry Collection by Sol A. Sierra
Compiled by her son, Timothy R. Casul — Coming Soon from Perspective Publications
Sol A. Sierra is Timothy Casul's mother — a woman who raised five children, survived unimaginable loss, and found her voice through poetry. Written between 2020 and 2021, her poems are raw, deeply personal, and powerful.
A Poem from the Collection
A Strong Grip
Not 1 or 2 but 5,
What happens with that crazy time?
It went so fast!
But I went through it like a flashing light,
Tired during the day
Tired during the night
But I never let go of the strong grip I had
I will never let go
I will never subside
Because that strong grip, will stay with me
For the rest of my life.— Sol A. Sierra, 2021
